About the Position

Job Title

Travel CT Tech / Radiology Tech – Freestanding Emergency Department

Chesterfield, Virginia

Schedule / Job Type

Contract – Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM | 36 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT and general X-ray imaging in a high-acuity, 12-bed freestanding emergency department setting
• Operate GE Optima CT scanner and GE portable X-ray equipment independently
• Document patient imaging information using Meditech and Sectra systems
• Support a fast-paced environment averaging 80+ patients per day, with surge volumes exceeding 100 patients during peak periods
• Provide single-staff coverage across both CT and X-ray modalities as required
• Assist with standard emergency radiology procedures; no surgical procedures or biopsies performed on unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technology license or compact license – must be in hand at time of submission
• ARRT certification required
• ARRT-CT certification required
• Current CPR certification required
• Ability to work independently and provide coverage across both CT and X-ray modalities

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Acute Stroke Ready protocols and workflows
• Comfort working with moderate pediatric patient volumes in an emergency setting
• Strong professional communication and patient-facing interpersonal skills
