Vice President of Enrollment Management We are searching for an experienced Vice President of Enrollment Management at our Goldsmith Campus - Westchester campus. Primary Duties and Responsibilities PRIMARY PURPOSE: Reporting directly to the President and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM) serves as the College's chief enrollment strategist and provides visionary leadership for the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) program. The VPEM is responsible for creating an integrated enrollment strategy that supports Otis College's mission, strategic plan, financial sustainability, and commitment to student access, belonging, persistence, and success. The position provides executive leadership across the entire enrollment continuum—from prospective student inquiry through graduation—ensuring that recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registration, enrollment services, student retention, and student success operate as a unified ecosystem. The VPEM leads an integrated division consisting of Admissions, Enrollment Services and Financial Aid, Student Success and Retention, Enrollment Communications, and Enrollment Analytics. Working collaboratively with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Finance and Administration, Marketing and Communications, Institutional Advancement, Institutional Research, faculty, and academic leadership, the Vice President develops institutional enrollment strategies that maximize student enrollment, persistence, graduation, and net tuition revenue while maintaining academic quality and advancing institutional priorities. As the institution's senior enrollment executive, the VPEM is accountable for achieving enrollment objectives, optimizing tuition revenue, improving student outcomes, leveraging data and predictive analytics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and student-centered service. Core Duties and Responsibilities Developing, implementing, assessing, and continuously refining current cycle, and multi-year strategic enrollment management plans aligned with institutional priorities. Serving as executive sponsor of the Strategic Enrollment Management Working Group and leading institution-wide enrollment planning initiatives. Establishing measurable enrollment goals, retention targets, graduation objectives, and net tuition revenue projections. Leading annual enrollment forecasting, scenario planning, and environmental scanning to anticipate demographic, economic, competitive, and regulatory trends. Advising the President, Board of Trustees, and Senior Leadership Team regarding enrollment trends, institutional risks, and strategic opportunities. Utilizing enrollment modeling to support institutional planning and resource allocation. Developing annual enrollment dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) that monitor progress throughout the enrollment funnel and student lifecycle. Building a campus-wide culture in which enrollment management is understood as an institutional responsibility shared across academic and administrative divisions. Executive Leadership and Strategic Enrollment Management Serve as the College's chief enrollment officer and senior advisor on enrollment strategy. Develop and lead implementation of the institution's Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. Chair the Strategic Enrollment Management Working Group. Collaborate with the President, Provost, Vice President for Finance and Administration, and other senior leaders to align enrollment strategies with institutional priorities. Develop long-term enrollment growth strategies that support mission fulfillment and institutional sustainability. Recommend enrollment policies, organizational structures, staffing models, and resource allocations that improve operational effectiveness. Build a high-performing enrollment division characterized by accountability, collaboration, innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement. Recruitment, Admissions, and Enrollment Growth Provide executive leadership for undergraduate, transfer, graduate, international, and special population recruitment initiatives. Develop comprehensive enrollment strategies across all student populations. Establish enrollment goals by market segment and academic program. Identify emerging enrollment markets and recruitment opportunities. Develop targeted recruitment initiatives for under-enrolled academic programs. Collaborate with Academic Affairs to support enrollment planning for new academic programs. Evaluate market demand and enrollment potential for proposed academic offerings. Oversee recruitment travel strategy, school partnerships, college fairs, and virtual engagement initiatives. Ensure admissions practices promote equitable access while maintaining academic quality. Enrollment Analytics, Assessment, and Technology Promote a culture of evidence-based decision making. Lead institutional enrollment analytics. Oversee predictive modeling and enrollment forecasting. Develop executive dashboards and enrollment reporting. Analyze recruitment funnel performance. Monitor conversion metrics throughout the enrollment lifecycle. Evaluate return on investment for recruitment initiatives. Utilize CRM technology, Banner ERP, Slate CRM, and related systems to optimize enrollment operations. Ensure integration and integrity of institutional enrollment data. Strategic Financial Aid and Net Tuition Revenue Management Provide executive oversight of institutional financial aid strategy, scholarship leveraging, and tuition revenue optimization. Develop comprehensive financial aid leveraging strategies. Lead institutional scholarship planning and awarding methodologies. Partner with Finance to model enrollment scenarios and optimize net tuition revenue. Monitor tuition discount rates, scholarship expenditures, and financial aid effectiveness. Evaluate institutional aid strategies using predictive modeling. Recommend scholarship investments that maximize enrollment outcomes while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Collaborate with Student Accounts to improve student financial wellness and reduce financial barriers to persistence. Support development of payment plan communication strategies. Student Success, Retention, and Completion Provide executive leadership for institutional persistence and graduation initiatives. Responsibilities include: Lead development of institution-wide student success strategies. Oversee Student Success and Retention programs. Develop proactive interventions for academically or financially at-risk students. Implement predictive retention analytics and early-alert systems. Partner with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to improve persistence and completion. Support initiatives that improve first-year retention, transfer success, graduation rates, and equity outcomes. Lead the College's Retention Task Force. Ensure student success initiatives are data-informed and measurable. Academic Planning and Program Enrollment Strategy Partner closely with Academic Affairs to align enrollment planning with academic portfolio management. Participate in academic program planning. Develop enrollment projections for new programs. Monitor program-level enrollment performance. Recommend enrollment interventions for programs experiencing declining demand. Monitor program performance indicators affecting financial aid eligibility. Collaborate on academic scheduling and enrollment capacity planning. Compliance, Risk Management, and Regulatory Oversight Provide executive oversight of enrollment-related compliance activities. Ensure institutional compliance with Title IV regulations. Maintain audit readiness. Oversee institutional participation in federal student aid programs. Provide executive oversight of SEVIS compliance and PDSO responsibilities. Oversee Veterans Education Benefits administration. Ensure compliance with FERPA and related privacy regulations. Monitor changing federal and state regulations affecting enrollment operations. Develop policies that reduce institutional compliance risk. Communications, Marketing, and Enrollment Experience Provide strategic oversight for enrollment communications. Ensure coordinated messaging across the student lifecycle. Partner with Marketing and Communications on enrollment campaigns. Strengthen admitted student yield communications. Improve communication with continuing students regarding enrollment milestones. Enhance the student enrollment experience using customer service best practices. Ensure consistent messaging reflecting Otis College's mission and brand on both a national and international basis. Institutional Collaboration Develop collaborative relationships across the College. Coordinate monthly enrollment strategy meetings with Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. Attend Chairs Council meetings to provide enrollment updates. Collaborate with Institutional Advancement regarding donor-supported scholarships. Partner with faculty to support recruitment and retention initiatives. Present enrollment updates to Senior Team and the Board of Trustees. Foster shared ownership of enrollment outcomes throughout the institution. Leadership and Organizational Development Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate enrollment staff. Build a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture. Promote innovation and professional development. Establish performance expectations and accountability measures. Encourage continuous improvement across all enrollment functions. Represent the College at professional conferences and recruitment events. Serve on institutional committees as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be responsive to work-related phone calls and emails during non-business hours on occasion. Required Qualifications Required Skills and Education Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible enrollment management leadership experience. Minimum of five (5) years serving in a senior leadership role overseeing admissions, financial aid, enrollment services, student success, or related functions. Demonstrated success leading Strategic Enrollment Management initiatives. Demonstrated experience developing multi-year enrollment strategies. Experience managing net tuition revenue and financial aid leveraging. Knowledge of enrollment forecasting and predictive analytics. Experience with Slate CRM, Banner ERP, or comparable enterprise systems. Knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations. Knowledge of SEVIS regulations and international student compliance. Knowledge of Veterans Education Benefits administration. Strong understanding of higher education finance and tuition revenue modeling. Exceptional analytical and strategic planning skills. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities. Demonstrated success leading organizational change. Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders. Commitment to student-centered leadership and inclusive excellence. Experience at an independent college of art and design or similarly mission-driven institution. Experience presenting enrollment strategies to governing boards. Experience leading CRM implementation or optimization initiatives. Familiarity with predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging enrollment technologies. Experience managing enrollment during periods of demographic change and financial constraint.
