Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a motivated, confident, and experienced Urgent Care Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to excellent patient care. You should be passionate about animal health, skilled in your craft, and excited to work closely with a collaborative medical team. 2+ years of veterinary experience (urgent care or emergency preferred) A strong work ethic and positive, team‑first attitude A passion for patient care and client education The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Safe and effective animal restraint Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, etc.) Administering oral and injectable medications Taking comprehensive medical and vaccine histories Assisting in sedation and post‑op recovery Following sterilization and biosecurity protocol Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with urgent exams and procedures Educate clients on treatments, medications, and home care Accurately administer vaccines and treatments Calculate medication dosages and ensure precise delivery Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members Help maintain hospital cleanliness and high infection‑control standards At Pennsauken Animal Hospital, we know that exceptional care for pets begins with exceptional care for people.
