Qualifications

• State License License must be in hand at time of application.
• Certifications NRP. Willing to obtain allowed for NRP.
• Certifications PALS. Willing to obtain allowed for PALS.
• Certifications NBRC (RRT) or NBRC (CRT)
• Certifications BLS or BLS (AHA). Willing to obtain allowed for BLS or BLS (AHA).
• Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in NICU in last 3 years.
• EMR Must have experience with EMRs.
• Skills Assessment NIR skills assessment with 2.7+ score.
• Additional Confirmations I have not worked as a permanent employee of HCA Healthcare in the past year.
• Additional Confirmations I am willing to float to sister facilities within 25 miles as needed.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with mask ventilation, airway stabilization, and management of conventional, HFOV, CPAP/NIV, HFNC, and transport ventilators is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with transport physiology, isolette systems, equipment troubleshooting, oxygen management, EMS integration, and safety protocols is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with critical neonatal care including RDS, MAS, PPHN, BPD, sepsis, thermoregulation, hemodynamic support, and early recognition of deterioration is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with clear team communication, efficient handoffs, and coordination with sending/receiving facilities is required.
• Additional Confirmations Experience with crisis management (equipment failure, respiratory decline) and infection control is required.
• Additional Confirmations Understanding of transport physiology, safe operation and troubleshooting of transport isolette systems, knowledge of ground and air transport safety protocols, ability to manage equipment restraints, power sources, and gas supply monitoring during transport, and proficiency in documenting transport events, interventions, and patient assessments is required.
• Additional Confirmations Proficiency in bag-mask ventilation, securing and managing advanced airways, assisting with line placements (PIV or UVC) and transport stabilization, and point-of-care testing (ABG/CBG, glucose) is required.
• Additional Confirmations I confirm I have all of the following experience: Proficiency in Neonatal Airway & Ventilation (Mask ventilation, airway stabilization, ventilator management). Experience with Transport Operations (Transport physiology, isolette systems, equipment troubleshooting, EMS integration). Skills in Critical Neonatal Care (RDS, MAS, PPHN, BPD, sepsis, thermoregulation). Proficiency in paper documentation. Experience with Hamilton vent, Cross Vent, and TXP equipment.
• Travel Contract Local contracts within 50.0 miles not accepted.
