In this role, you'll lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects supporting airports of all sizes, including airfields, terminals, roadways, parking facilities, utilities, and site development.Previous aviation experience is preferred but not required. We welcome experienced civil engineers with backgrounds in site development, land development, transportation, municipal infrastructure, or other horizontal infrastructure projects who are interested in applying their expertise to aviation projects.What You'll Do:Lead the technical execution of complex civil engineering projects from planning and design through construction, preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documentsDesign and oversee civil infrastructure projects including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, roadways, pavements, and site development for aviation facilities, including airports, terminals, airfields, and support facilitiesServe as a technical leader by developing innovative engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and client standards. Experience with FAA standards is preferred but not requiredLead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating with planners, architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budgetMentor and develop junior engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and project leadershipSupport business development by preparing technical proposals, participating in client presentations, and cultivating strong client relationshipsPerform periodic field observations during construction to document project progress, verify work generally conforms to design plans and specifications, review erosion and sediment control measures, and communicate observations to the project teamSupport construction administration by reviewing contractor progress, preparing field reports, documenting site conditions, attending progress meetings, tracking installed quantities, and assisting with resolving construction-related technical questionsWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive civil engineering experience in civil site design, land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, aviation, or other horizontal infrastructure projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredStrong experience designing site grading, drainage, stormwater systems, utilities, roadways, pavements, and other civil infrastructureExperience using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or comparable civil engineering design softwareDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, managing technical project delivery, and mentoring junior engineersStrong understanding of QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, construction administration, and project deliveryExcellent verbal, written, and client relationship skillsWillingness to periodically travel to project sites to support construction observations and field activitiesParticipation in professional engineering organizations is a plusWhy You'll Love It Here:Serve as a technical leader on impactful aviation projects that support safe airport operations and long‑term infrastructure performanceCollaborate with experienced aviation professionals on airside, landside, and facility projects for airports of all sizesMentor and develop the next generation of engineers while advancing your own technical expertiseCurious about the impactful work our Aviation team is doing? Salary Range:$125,000 - $140,000Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
