Part-Time Family Assistant / Household Manager

We are a warm and busy family in Santa Monica looking for a reliable, organized, & caring individual to join our household team. This is a part-time afternoon role, perfect for someone who loves working with kids and dogs, is a natural multitasker, & takes pride in keeping a home running smoothly. Each afternoon begins with walking & caring for our small terrier mix dog at 2:00PM, followed by school pickups for our two children (ages 10 and 13) from two nearby schools. You'll bring them home, help them with homework, and/or transport them to after-school activities — all within 1–5 miles of our home. From there, afternoons include light housework such as daily sweeping, wiping down countertops and tables, tidying & organizing common areas, & handling the kids' laundry. You'll also cook dinner 3–4 evenings per week, occasionally prep breakfast for the following morning & feed the dog dinner. Beyond the home itself, we need someone who can help keep the household running — adding items to the grocery list as things run out, ordering/picking up groceries, picking up/dropping off dry cleaning, cleaning out a closet, organizing the office, and other similar household errands as they come up. We're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, & genuinely interested in working with children & animals, and keeping a household running smoothly. You should be comfortable working independently, taking initiative, & communicating proactively when something needs attention. Prior experience in a similar household or family assistant role is preferred but not required — reliability & character matter most to us.
