Electrical Assembly Technician

Electrical Assembler Technician Join a space and defense manufacturing team as an Electrical Assembly Technician, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. You'll perform high-reliability soldering, crimping, and assembly on complex electronic sub-assemblies supporting government and aerospace programs. What You'll Do: Perform soldering per IPC-J-STD on PCBs, wire boards, and circuit card assemblies (through-hole & surface mount) Assemble chassis/final units using circuit cards, wire harnesses, and precision tools Perform board-level repairs, jumper wire installs, and high-rel crimping on complex sub-assemblies Work with multi-pin connectors to meet government/customer specs Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and electronic work instructions Follow ESD protocols; maintain high-rel soldering certifications Partner with engineering on troubleshooting, rework, and test improvements Maintain cleanliness and traceability documentation for controlled programs What You'll Need: High school diploma or equivalent training 5+ years hands-on electrical assembly/soldering experience Crimping, board-level repair, and electronic unit assembly expertise Familiarity with J-STD, IPC 610/620 standards, torque/crimping tools Nice to Have: NASA 8739 soldering certification Avionics component experience (circuit card rework, coating, install) Strong drawing interpretation and cross-functional collaboration skills
