Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in a dedicated Cath Lab unit. Monitor patient status, assist with procedures, and ensure compliance with clinical protocols to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions before, during, and after cardiac procedures to ensure stability and safety.
  
  
• 
  Prepare the Cath Lab environment and equipment for scheduled procedures, ensuring all tools are sterilized and functioning properly.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, including patient positioning and device handling.
  
  
• 
  Document all patient care activities accurately in Meditech and maintain detailed procedure notes.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient responses, addressing any adverse events, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families on post-procedural care, recovery expectations, and medication protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current registered nursing license in the state of Florida.
  
  
• 
  A minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiac cath or EP lab setting.
  
  
• 
  Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency with Meditech documentation systems.
  
  
• 
  Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
