Full-Time | On-Site
We are a Federal Credit Union seeking an experienced Member Services Representative to join our team in Port Washington, NY.
This position is ideal for someone with prior banking, credit union, teller, or financial-services experience who enjoys helping members, processing financial transactions, and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, check transactions, and loan payments accurately.
- Balance daily transactions and verify cash and transaction totals.
- Open and close member accounts.
- Process credit card payments and certificate-of-deposit renewals.
- Perform account maintenance and assist members with checking-account and bookkeeping questions.
- Educate members about Credit Union products and services.
- Identify member needs and recommend appropriate Credit Union products and services.
- Maintain accurate records while protecting confidential member information.
- Provide professional, friendly, and responsive member service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in banking, credit unions, financial services, teller operations, or a related customer-service environment preferred.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable discussing and recommending financial products and services.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
