Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification at time of hire: Required
• Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during Orientation: Required for all departments except for Obstetrics and NICU
• Critical Care Units: Completion of Critical Care Course within 1 year of hire: Required
• Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire: Required
• Labor & Delivery department: Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months of hire, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire, Advanced Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire: Required
• Obstetrics & NICU departments: Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months of hire: Required
• PACU/SDS: PALS certification within 1 year of hire, IV Sedation within 6 months of hire: Required
• Emergency Department: PALS certification required at time of hire, TNCC certification within 1 year of hire, Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire: Required
• Procedures Nurse Interventional Radiology RN: IV Sedation within 6 months of hire: Required
• Facility-specific certifications as required: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an acute care setting.
• Monitor patients' conditions and adjust nursing interventions accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families regarding health and wellness.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and progress accurately and timely.
