Contract Billing Associate

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Billing Associate on behalf of our client, a leading automotive dealership network. The Contract Billing Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing vehicle transactions, and ensuring all dealership deals are properly documented and recorded. This role plays a key part in supporting dealership financial operations by verifying data accuracy, reconciling schedules, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize automotive accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial information.
• Post new, used, and fleet vehicle deals accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Perform general administrative duties, including filing, answering phones, and handling correspondence.
• Reconcile accounting schedules and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with sales and finance departments to verify the completeness and accuracy of deal paperwork.
• Review, record, and process vehicle documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Communicate effectively with dealership associates and management regarding billing and accounting matters.
• Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements Include:
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:

• Three or more years of accounting, billing, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Automotive accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and dealership management systems.
• Dealertrack DMS experience is a plus.

Certifications:

• No specific certifications required.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Understanding of automotive dealership accounting processes and vehicle deal posting.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements related to dealership operations.
• Understanding of financial reconciliations and document verification procedures.
