Job Title: Business Systems Analyst Location-Type: Hybrid (2 Days A Week Onsite - in Owings Mills, MD 21117) Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: Contract (12 Months w/ option to extend) W2 Pay Rate Range: $35/hr - $40/hr Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Job Description: Support technology and business teams by analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional solutions, and leveraging data to improve processes and drive strategic initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Partner with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions
- Create and execute SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL queries for data analysis
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements through testing
- Analyze complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Support testing efforts, validation, and solution implementation
- Document workflows, specifications, and business processes
- Collaborate across technology and business teams to ensure successful delivery
- 5 years of Business Analyst experience
- Strong Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL experience
- Experience creating, modifying, and running database queries
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Experience working within SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- Snowflake experience
- Autosys experience
- Informatica PowerCenter experience
- S3 experience
- DB2 database knowledge
- Cloud migration project experience
- Test strategy and test planning experience
- Visio experience
