Bower is a California coastal restaurant opening at the Colorado Center in Santa Monica. Inspired by Australian café culture and Mediterranean flavors, Bower offers all-day dining in a relaxed, hospitality-driven environment rooted in community, quality, and genuine service.
Position OverviewAs a Line Cook at Bower, you'll prepare and plate high-quality dishes with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail. Working alongside the culinary team, you'll help deliver exceptional food while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about cooking, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Complete daily prep and ensure stations are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service.
Label, rotate, and store food using FIFO procedures.
Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen standards.
Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one) required.
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
$19.00–$24.00/hour

Como Cocinero de Línea (Line Cook) en Bower, prepararás y presentarás platillos de alta calidad con consistencia, eficiencia y atención al detalle. Trabajarás junto al equipo culinario para ofrecer una experiencia gastronómica excepcional mientras mantienes una cocina limpia, organizada y segura. Este puesto es ideal para una persona apasionada por la cocina, que disfrute trabajar en un ambiente de ritmo acelerado y en equipo.
Responsabilidades Principales
Preparar, cocinar y emplatar los platillos siguiendo las recetas y estándares de calidad.
Completar la preparación diaria y mantener las estaciones de trabajo limpias, organizadas y abastecidas.
Supervisar la calidad, frescura y presentación de los alimentos durante el servicio.
Etiquetar, rotar y almacenar los alimentos utilizando el sistema PEPS (FIFO).
Ayudar con las tareas de apertura, cierre, limpieza y labores asignadas durante el turno.
Trabajar en conjunto con el equipo de cocina para garantizar un servicio eficiente.
Cumplir con todas las normas de seguridad alimentaria, saneamiento y estándares de la cocina.
Requisitos
Se prefiere experiencia previa como cocinero de línea o en un puesto similar de cocina.
Buen manejo de cuchillos y conocimientos básicos de preparación de alimentos.
Capacidad para trabajar eficientemente en un ambiente de ritmo acelerado.
Buenas habilidades de comunicación y trabajo en equipo.
Capacidad para levantar hasta 50 libras y permanecer de pie durante períodos prolongados.
Certificación de Manipulación de Alimentos (Food Handler) o disposición para obtenerla.
Disponibilidad para trabajar por las mañanas, noches, fines de semana y días festivos.
Compensación
$19.00–$24.00 por hora
