Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes, production efficiency, quality, and reliability. This role analyzes production methods, develops process improvements, interprets engineering documentation, and supports operational excellence through data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to collaborate across engineering and production teams.



Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, workflow, and manufacturing operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
• Conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for productivity improvements and process optimization.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to support manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and management teams to determine quality, reliability, and production standards.
• Review production records, logs, and processing documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Assist in planning work assignments based on workforce capabilities, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated constraints.
• Develop charts, graphs, diagrams, and reports to illustrate workflow, routing, facility layouts, material flow, and equipment utilization.
• Observe equipment operation and production activities to ensure adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
• Collect, analyze, and evaluate operational data to identify trends, validate performance standards, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports and documentation outlining process performance, findings, and corrective actions.

Years of Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience required.
• Experience supporting production environments, process improvement initiatives, and manufacturing operations preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to create engineering sketches, drawings, and perform technical calculations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering-related applications.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
