- Automotive SalespersonGeneration Buick GMC - Bohemia, NY 11716## OverviewSalary Range$75,000.00 - $150,000.00 Base+Commission/year## DescriptionAs an Automotive Salesperson at Generation Buick GMC, part of the Generation Auto Group collection, you are the face of our dealership and play a key role in creating a positive and seamless car-buying experience for our customers. This position requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a customer-first mindset. Your ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and guide them through the sales process directly impacts customer satisfaction, dealership performance, and long-term loyalty.**What You’ll Be Doing** The primary functions of this role include, but are not limited to:* Greet customers promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming dealership experience* Identify customer needs and guide them through the vehicle selection process* Present and demonstrate vehicle features, benefits, and technology* Conduct test drives and explain vehicle performance and capabilities* Build and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business* Stay up to date on product knowledge, current inventory, and manufacturer programs* Work closely with management and the finance team to structure and finalize deals* Follow up with customers before and after the sale to ensure satisfaction* Maintain accurate customer records and activities in the CRM system* Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals* Assist with showroom presentation, vehicle displays, and lot organization* Handle customer inquiries, objections, and concerns in a professional manner**What We’re Looking For*** Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.* Punctual, dependable, self-motivated, and committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.* Outgoing, confident, and comfortable building relationships with customers throughout the sales process.* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.* Strong customer service, sales, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.* Ability to listen to customer needs, explain vehicle features and options, and confidently guide customers through the vehicle purchasing process.* Comfortable using CRM systems, dealership technology, computers, tablets, and other digital sales tools.* Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented sales environment.* Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven dealership environment.* Professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move throughout the showroom and dealership lot, and regularly enter and exit various vehicles throughout the workday.* Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds, as well as perform job duties indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions,* Flexible availability, including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and other dealership operating hours as required.* Previous automotive sales, retail sales, customer service, or other commission-based sales experience is preferred, but not required.**What We’ll Give You*** Paid Time Off* Medical Insurance* Dental Insurance* Vision Insurance* Aflac Insurance* Pet Insurance* 401(k) with Employer Match* Paid Holidays* Employee Purchase Program* Perks & Discount Program* Monthly Employee Celebrations* A/C & Heated Shop* Paid Manufacturer Training* Company-Supplied Uniforms**Who We Are**Generation Auto Group is a family-owned and operated dealership group proudly serving our communities for over 30 years.
