Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager (Contract) to lead execution of critical post-merger IT integration initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving infrastructure and enterprise application integrations while delivering business synergies, reducing complexity, and enabling a successful transition to a unified operating model. About the Role This is a hands‑on execution role for someone who has successfully led multiple post‑acquisition IT integrations in complex manufacturing or regulated environments. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, quickly establishes structure where needed, influences senior stakeholders, and relentlessly focuses on delivering measurable business value—not process for process’ sake. Responsibilities Lead execution of the post-close IT integration roadmap across infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, end‑user computing, collaboration platforms, and core business systems. Drive multiple concurrent workstreams while ensuring cross‑functional alignment between IT, business leaders, vendors, and acquired organizations. Develop practical integration plans, identify dependencies, manage risks, and remove execution roadblocks. Coordinate integration activities across infrastructure, networking, identity, cloud, ERP, collaboration, security, and business applications. Partner with functional leaders to prioritize initiatives that maximize synergy capture and business value. Track and report executive‑level milestones, risks, decisions, and financial benefits. Challenge unnecessary complexity and keep teams focused on delivering outcomes rather than excessive documentation or governance. Facilitate integration workshops, decision‑making sessions, and executive steering committee updates. Manage third‑party implementation partners and vendors to ensure delivery against commitments. Drive accountability across matrixed teams that do not directly report into the project. Qualifications 10+ years leading enterprise IT programs and complex technology implementations. Proven experience leading multiple post‑merger or acquisition IT integrations from Day 1 through operational consolidation. Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, identity, networking, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. Experience integrating core business systems including ERP, CRM, collaboration platforms, ITSM, and business intelligence solutions. Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders and influencing decisions without direct authority. Experience in manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, aerospace & defense, or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred. Able to simplify complex programs into actionable plans. Highly organized while remaining flexible as priorities change. Comfortable engaging executives one hour and technical teams the next. Understands that integration success is measured by business value, synergy realization, and adoption—not project artifacts. Preferred Skills Experience leading integrations following private equity acquisitions. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory/Entra ID, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise application ecosystems. PMP certification preferred but not required. Experience with ERP migrations or consolidations (Epicor, Syteline, M2M/Aptean, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus. Experience working with global organizations and distributed teams.
