Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Cutler, CA

Pay Range: $75,000 – $100,000 annually (depending on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‐oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls for a large-scale produce packing operation. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic agricultural environment.

Company Overview

Key Staffing is hiring on behalf of a leading produce packing company in California’s Central Valley. The organization operates in the citrus packing and processing industry, focusing on high-quality production, logistics efficiency, and sustainable agricultural practices.

Performance Objectives

• Oversee general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial statements and analysis reports for management.
• Implement and monitor internal controls and compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Lead cost accounting for packing and production operations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies during audits and filings.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and improve processes for efficiency.

Key Competencies

• Strong accounting and analytical skills (GAAP, cost accounting, reporting).
• Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP).
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and ethical conduct.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or production.
• Experience leading audits and managing financial reporting processes.
• ERP/accounting system experience required; leadership experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily office-based with occasional visits to production areas.
