Equipment Technician

$30-$31 per hour Canton, NY Contract Duration: 05 months with possible extension Job Description: Provide support to equipment engineering staff for project execution and day-to-day operational needs. Works under the supervision of engineering staff but can execute simple projects independently. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate daily with engineering team members as well as union trades and operators to address equipment breakdowns. Interacts with vendors and plant contacts to purchase equipment for repair related items. Interpret high-level technical documentation including equipment layouts, SOPs, and mechanical schematics. Execute simple equipment repair or improvement projects on a wide variety of plant equipment including pumps, grinders, CNCs, forming equipment, furnaces, and other general facility related equipment. Required Skills Minimum 5 years of mechanical, hands-on experience Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply across a wide range of applications. High level of organization Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with AutoCad, Solidworks, or similar CAD software Experience with MS Office, Project & SharePoint Education: Associate’s degree in mechanical, or related field.
