Radiology Service Line Chief

The incumbent serves as the Chief providing leadership and direction of the Radiology Service Line. This encompasses the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of an integrated program and the applicable performance measures. The scope includes the supervision of a variety of radiology health care professionals and allied staff including but not limited to; physicians, technologists, nurses, and administrative staff. The supervision includes both staff at the Medical Center as well as ancillary facilities. The incumbent serves as one of the principle clinical advisors to the Chief of Staff for the overall scope of Radiology care provided. The incumbent has the responsibility for planning, developing, and directing the general radiology, CAT scan, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine operations of Imaging Service. This involves providing radiological studies in the inpatient and outpatient clinics, operating rooms, and ICU areas throughout the medical center. The incumbent will have administrative and professional oversight responsibility for all clinical, clerical and administrative staff in the Radiology Service Line. They may also have programmatic oversight and shared responsibility for inpatient nursing staff in patient care services with coordination from the Associate Director for Patient Care Services. Decisions are made exercising wide latitude and independent judgment. The incumbent reports to the Chief of Staff, but largely operates on a day-to-day basis in an independent manner, with full responsibility to keep the supervisor apprised of activities and any issues in need of close collaboration.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm including shared call coverage (reporting to phoning into facility)
