Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Delivery Associate (Commercial Driver). As a Delivery Associate you will be our company ambassadors. Delivery Associates delivers our quality product to our customers.Deliver product based on routed stopsUnload product from truck at stopsCount product to ensure accurate deliveryAssist customers with questions, concerns, or inquiriesFollow all traffic and safety lawsConduct a Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspection on vehicles dailyMaintain Driver’s electronic logUse our technologically advanced Proof-of-Delivery system to provide excellent and positive customer serviceMinimum Experience and Qualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) DiplomaMust have a valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or BMust provide a clean driving record, no DUI’s within the past 10 yearsMust have a current Medical Examiner’s CertificateMust be able to lift 60-100 poundsMust be able to read and write in EnglishMust be willing to work 3:00AM or 5:00AM start timesMust have at least two years of CDL experiencePreferred Experience and Qualifications:Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish) a plusEmployee Expectations:Regular attendance and punctualityDisclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee(s) assigned to this position.
