Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ years of experience and ARRT(MR) certification for a day-shift contract position.

Details

• Work in the MRI department of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Day shift schedule following an 8 days on, 6 days off rotation averaging 40 hours per week
• Shifts range from 6 to 12 hours across the rotation, including weekend coverage every other weekend
• Call coverage required approximately once per month with weekday call through 9:00 PM
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Siemens MRI equipment experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required; 2 years preferred
• ARRT (MR) and BLS certification required
• Active PA or Compact license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Skills in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and special imaging MRI procedures preferred
• Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and peripheral IV starts preferred
• Must be able to work in adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings
• DOB, SSN, and valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic MRI imaging across abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions using advanced imaging techniques
• Responsible for contrast media preparation and administration and maintaining radiation safety protocols
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Former permanent employees are ineligible for travel assignments through an agency unless separated for at least 2 years
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year of assignments within the health system must take a two-year break before returning
• Traveler can only be placed at one facility within the health system at a time
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
