Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a critical care environment. This role involves managing patients with complex conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, ventilator support, and invasive procedures such as central line placements and intubations.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to emergencies, including rapid sequence intubations and arterial line management.
• Document patient progress accurately in the EPIC system and update care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to coordinate effective treatment.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience; 1 year of strong ICU experience may be considered.
• Possess current ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ventilators, vasopressors, arterial lines, and other ICU procedures.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be adaptable to floating within the hospital, including PCU or sitter coverage.
• Available to work straight night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) for a 13-week travel assignment.
