This position requires one night a week and two weekends during the contract. Shift times may vary between 9 AM to 9 PM and 10 AM to 10 PM.

Job Description

The PACU unit, located next to the OR, has 26 beds and requires experienced nurses to provide post-anesthesia care for various surgical procedures, including general, neuro, oncology, orthopedics, and vascular surgeries. The unit utilizes Meditech as its electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor patients for complications, manage pain, and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate a smooth recovery process.
• Document patient care and progress in the Meditech system.

Required Experience

• Must have prior experience in a PACU or ICU setting.
• Meditech experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

No specific certifications are required; however, ACLS certification is preferred.
