Medical Assistant-Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA-C) will provide clinical support in a Primary Care Clinic setting, assisting providers by rooming patients, collecting vital signs and medical histories, and preparing exam rooms. This role supports one primary provider while also assisting others as needed within a 20-provider practice. The position requires at least 2 years of experience, certification as a Medical Assistant- Certified (MA-C), and basic life support (BLS) certification. Reliable transportation and flexibility to float within scope are essential. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and collect vital signs and medical histories.
• Prepare and set up exam rooms for patient visits.
• Support one primary care provider and assist other providers as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC charting system.
• Perform clinical duties within the scope of MA-C certification.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Adhere to clinic policies and procedures including infection control and patient confidentiality.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) credential.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Reliable transportation for commuting to the clinic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Pediatric clinical experience preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting multiple providers in a busy outpatient setting.

Special Considerations:

• Must be available for scheduled interviews during specified times; failure to attend may disqualify candidate from future positions.
• Role is Temp to Perm; travelers are considered but must be open to permanent placement.
• Must be able to float within skillset to meet facility needs.
• No on-call or weekend requirements.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule consists of four 10-hour days per week (4x10 schedule).
• Typical shift hours range from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Day shifts only; no weekend shifts required.
