Communicate and collaborate with nephrologists. Provide hemodialysis treatments including but not limited to: initiating, continual monitoring/assessing, and terminating treatments for all acute and/or chronic pediatric patients. Participate in ongoing management of the chronic pediatric dialysis patient via monthly interdisciplinary patient care rounds. Provide nursing care to pediatric peritoneal dialysis patients both manually and with the Home Choice. Participate in CQI Projects. Provide primary nursing care to the chronic pediatric dialysis patient as assigned by the Clinical Nursing Supervisor. Participate in the On-Call schedule under the guidelines of UMPNC and Pediatric Dialysis Coverage Policy.Current license to practice Nursing in the State of Michigan 12 months of Pediatric Peritoneal and Hemodialysis RN experience PALS certification is required (or within six (6) months of date of hire) or MUST be completed prior to end of probationary period .
