Position Overview

We are seeking a Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The position requires floating between units as needed and does not have on-call or weekend requirements. This role offers a 3x12-hour day shift schedule from 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU.
Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia and ensure appropriate post-operative care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Float to other units based on skill sets and organizational needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of Pediatric Nursing experience required.
PALS certification is mandatory.
Experience with Epic charting system is required.
Ability to recognize and manage dysrhythmias.
Familiarity with narcotics, opioid analgesics, reversal agents, and general anesthesia protocols.

Patient Care Details

Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Children, and Adolescents
Daily Census: Approximately 12 visits per day
Unit Type: Stand-alone pediatric surgery department within an acute care setting.

Special Requirements

Must have a vehicle for transportation between facilities.
Willingness to float to designated sister facilities is expected.
Must commit to working three out of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
