Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations to uncover each patient's unique needs
• Develop individualized treatment and discharge plans that empower patients to reach their communication goals
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions that make a real difference in patients' daily lives
• Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with state, federal, and facility standards
• Partner with an interdisciplinary care team, patients, and families to provide whole-person care
• Uphold infection control and safety protocols to keep everyone safe

Qualifications

• Master's degree (MS/MA) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Mississippi SLP license (or CFY eligibility)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, or in Clinical Fellowship Year
• Strong clinical problem-solving and communication skills
• Compassion and patience when working with patients and families

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic evaluation of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Evidence-based treatment planning and documentation
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for speech-language pathology
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and adaptability in a skilled nursing environment
