PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

PACU RN Opportunity in New Bedford, MAAmergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much-respected facility in Massachusetts who is currently seeking a qualified PACU RN to assist them on a contractual basis.Position Title: PACU RNLocation(s): New Bedford, MASchedule Details: • 36 hours per week • 3x12-hour shifts • 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM (combined with some 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM shifts) • Call rotation required (weekends, nights, and holidays; details discussed during interview) • No floating required; Phase II recovery coverage for some patientsDepartment/Setting: PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) • 12-bed unit • Patient population: Pediatric through Geriatric • Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2 (per ASPAN recommendations)Job Description: Provide PACU nursing care for patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, gynecology, thoracic, vascular, and neurosurgery cases.
