Now Hiring: Cook (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Location: The Greens at Cannondale Assisted Living – Wilton, CT

The Greens at Cannondale Assisted Living is currently seeking dedicated and reliable Cooks to join our culinary team. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Full-Time Position:

• 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Includes every other weekend
• Pay: $25.00 per hour

The Cannondale Campus is an award-winning senior care community in Wilton, CT on a beautiful and easily accessible, 12-acre campus. Our communities boast unheard of staff longevity, team work, competitive pay and benefits and we love to have fun!

We are a small company with a generous food budget offering high-end, restaurant-style scratch cooking where creativity is encouraged and rewarded

Responsibilities:

• The Line cook prepares meals for residents, family members, guests and associates
• Food Preparation: wash, chop and prepare ingredients.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Prepare dishes according to company recipes and plating guidelines to ensure high quality and consistency
• Utilize healthy ingredients in meals in a manner that optimizes nutrition and enhances the dining experience
• Adapts recipes to accommodate specific dietary needs and special requests, whenever possible
• Cooks and prepare menus for special events at the community

Key Qualifications:

• One year of food preparation experience in a high-volume kitchen
• Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols and regulations
• The ability to read, write, and follow directions in a recipe
• Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors will be strongly considered
• Safe Serve certification preferred or the ability to obtain a certification within 90 days of employment with us

* Must have patience, possess a positive attitude. Must be qualified by life experience to work with seniors. Must love good food and know how to prepare it.
