About the Role:

The Director of Social Services is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of social service programs that support and enhance the well-being of individuals in our 84-bed skilled nursing facility. The individual will play a lead role in communicating, developing and implementing the organization's short and long term plans for dementia programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field.
• LMSW required.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in social services, including 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of social service programs, policies, and regulatory requirements in the United States.
• Demonstrated experience in program development, staff management, and budget oversight.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive social service strategies and programs that meet community needs and organizational objectives.
• Manage and supervise social service staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and grant management to ensure financial sustainability and compliance.
• Collaborate with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders to coordinate services and advocate for policy enhancements.
• Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and reporting, making adjustments to improve service delivery and client outcomes.
• Ensure all social service activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards.
• Represent the organization at public meetings, conferences, and in media communications to promote social service initiatives.
