Licensed Insurance Producer

Barbara Jenkins Farmers Insurance

Job Description

Job Description

Position: Licensed Insurance Producer

Property & Casualty License Required

As a Licensed Insurance Producer, you will be responsible for helping develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying insurance needs, presenting appropriate coverage options, and assisting clients throughout the insurance process.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Office duties, phones, filing, greeting clients in person, etc.

• Developing and maintaining positive, professional client relationships.

• Identifying clients' insurance needs and presenting appropriate coverage solutions.

• Working with lead referrals, networking opportunities, and other business-development activities.

• Meeting with clients who come into the office to understand their insurance needs, make policy changes, answer questions, and provide solutions to premium-related concerns.

• Preparing and presenting insurance quotes and working with clients to move appropriate quotes toward a sale.

• Clearly explaining coverage options, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and other important policy provisions.

• Following our documentation protocols and maintaining accurate and complete client files.

• Making sure applications, forms, rejections, and other required documentation are properly completed, signed, dated, and maintained in a timely manner. Our agency is regularly monitored and audited, so accurate documentation is an important part of this position.

• Following up with prospects and clients in a timely and professional manner.

We do not generally conduct door-to-door sales campaigns. On occasion, we may distribute flyers or conduct targeted outreach in a specific area as part of a business-development effort.

Sales Expectations

Each licensed producer is given a monthly new-business goal. One of the principles we follow is our "300 Rule": 100% of clients are offered 100% of the products we offer 100% of the time.

This means we want every client to have the opportunity to understand the insurance products and coverage options available through our agency. The goal is to identify genuine insurance needs and provide appropriate solutions rather than simply quoting a single product.

What We Are Looking For

The person in this position needs to be:

• Customer-focused and professional.

• Organized and detail-oriented.

• A strong communicator.

• Comfortable discussing insurance coverage and sales opportunities with clients.

• Comfortable working with computer-based programs and willing to learn new technology and systems.

• Adaptable and able to manage multiple responsibilities.

• Able to work well with other members of the agency.

Our office is very much a team environment. Nobody is considered more important than anyone else based on their title or position. We expect everyone to treat one another with kindness and respect. We believe in keeping an open line of communication so that questions and concerns can be addressed rather than allowing things to be misunderstood.

Office Hours

Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Friday: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM

Regular attendance and punctuality are an important part of this position. Excessive tardiness or absences may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, consistent with company policy and applicable law.

Licensing & Training

If additional licensing or training is required, the agency will provide the applicable training and licensing support. Any requirements regarding reimbursement of training or licensing expenses, or post-employment restrictions, will be addressed separately in the applicable written agreements and will be subject to applicable law.

This is a clear picture of both the responsibilities of the position and the expectations of our office. We take our clients, our work, and our relationships with one another seriously, while also striving to maintain a positive and respectful workplace.

Responsibilities

Phone and in person interactions to include general customer service. Answering calls for lead opportunities and following through the process, documentation etc.; follow ups with email/text and phone. Cross-sell opportunities, retention reviews, general communication to clients.

Requirements

Prefer licensed producer with P&C, Life License is a plus, but not required for start. Will consider unlicensed if the fit feels right for both of us.

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Hands on Training
  • Mon-Fri Schedule
  • Career Growth Opportunities
