Job Summary:
The Step Down Unit Nurse is needed in a healthcare facility located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients experiencing respiratory failure, sepsis, or atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (RVR). The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring a proactive, skilled nurse to deliver high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Oklahoma or Compact registered nurse license, at least 1 year of clinical experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge experience, community hospital background, and experience in a long-term acute care or trauma level II setting.
• Additional Information: The unit cares for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, and arrhythmias. Responsibilities include managing arterial lines, chest tubes, central lines, and providing advanced airway management. The role involves floating to similar units as needed with brief orientation provided. Modules are completed onsite during orientation and are non-billable hours, with an average of 4-6 hours for nurses and 2-3 hours for allied health professionals.
