Pay: $24.50 - $29.86 per hour

Schedule: M-F (8 AM - 5 PM)
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

Simply Great Staffing is currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative for a leading electrical distribution company in Kent, WA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, building relationships, and working in a fast-paced sales environment. As the first point of contact for contractors, commercial accounts, industrial customers, and walk-in clients, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service while supporting branch sales and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting electrical products, materials, tools, lighting, wire and cable, controls, and distribution equipment.
• Process customer orders, quotes, sales transactions, and returns accurately and efficiently.
• Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service and product knowledge.
• Provide product recommendations and technical support based on customer needs and project requirements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock replenishment, cycle counts, and inventory management systems.
• Coordinate with warehouse and inside sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Source special-order materials and identify alternative products when needed.
• Maintain organized sales counters, displays, and shelving areas.
• Accurately document sales activities, inventory movements, quotations, and customer interactions.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and manufacturer offerings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical distribution, counter sales, inside sales, industrial supply, construction supply, or a related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, wiring devices, conduit, lighting, wire and cable, controls, switchgear, and distribution equipment is highly desirable.
• Experience using ERP systems, inventory management software, point-of-sale systems, or order entry platforms.
• Ability to read material lists, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

• Full-Time
• 40 hours per week
• In-person position located in Kent, WA
