Paramedic

The Paramedic provides pre-hospital care according to scope of practice. Assists the RN and or physician with patient care in accordance with the established treatment protocols of EMH. Prepares and maintains ambulances, equipment, and inventory in preparedness for emergency response. Functions in the Emergency Room or on the Inpatient Unit when not doing ambulance business. Other duties as requested by the RN, Physician or Administrator. Supervises EMT's.

Must be able to work 24 hour shifts.

Reporting to the EMS Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in patient assessment, airway management, and basic life support to stabilize patients in critical situations. Qualifications:

• Certification and experience in emergency medical services
• Proficient in airway management and basic life support techniques
• Strong patient assessment and care skills, including physical examinations
• Experience in transport and administering injections
• Familiarity with triage processes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and drive emergency vehicles
• Knowledge of physiology and urgent care practices
