Job Description

Job Summary:

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography imaging procedures necessary for diagnostic evaluation. They ensure patient safety, provide education, and comply with regulatory standards to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Operate mammography equipment accurately following departmental protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with FDA regulations and facility accreditation standards.
• Conduct routine quality assurance (QA) and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment.
• Educate patients about the mammography procedure, verifying medical histories, and obtaining informed consent.
• Document patient information, imaging details, and procedural charges accurately in electronic health records.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers for repairs when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have at least two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with mammography expertise.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and radiation safety standards.
