This position offers the opportunity to influence project delivery, contribute to business growth, and provide technical leadership on a diverse portfolio of projects.Key ResponsibilitiesStructural Engineering & DesignLead structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial, institutional, federal, and industrial projects.Design steel, concrete, and masonry structures for both new construction and facility renovations.Support projects involving buildings, utility infrastructure, roadways, and site improvements.Prepare and review structural calculations, engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.Interpret technical drawings and provide design guidance to project teams.Coordinate structural solutions with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.Support design efforts involving light-gauge steel and timber structures when required.Project Management & LeadershipManage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives.Lead structural engineering teams through project planning, design, and execution.Develop project scopes, work plans, fee estimates, and technical proposals.Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to engineers and designers.Coordinate project activities across multiple disciplines and office locations.Participate in design reviews and resolve complex technical challenges.Business Development & Client EngagementSupport the preparation of qualifications packages, proposals, and project pursuits.Participate in marketing and business development activities.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.Attend client meetings, presentations, and project discussions.Collaborate with internal teams to identify and support new business opportunities.Collaboration & QualityWork closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated project solutions.Maintain high standards of technical excellence, quality, and safety.Support office initiatives, team development, and organizational goals.Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.Travel as required to support client and project needs.Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license required.10+ years of structural engineering experience.Strong experience designing steel, concrete, and masonry structures.Proven expertise in structural analysis and building design.Experience with structural design and analysis software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.Demonstrated project management and team leadership experience.Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time-management skills.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to travel as needed.Preferred QualificationsExperience with light-gauge steel and timber design.Project Management certification or formal project management experience.Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams.Established relationships with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).Active participation in professional engineering organizations and industry associations.Experience supporting proposal development and business growth initiatives.Work EnvironmentHybrid work schedule available based on project and business needs.Collaborative multidisciplinary engineering environment.Direct interaction with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.Opportunity to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, government, and industrial projects.Exposure to both technical leadership and business development responsibilities.Why This Opportunity?This position offers the opportunity to lead complex structural engineering projects while playing a key role in client success, team development, and business growth.
