Details Work in the Labor & Delivery/Nursery/Postpartum unit at a Level III Trauma Center 5-bed L&D unit caring for maternity patients and newborns Patient ratios of 1:1 for patients on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise Facility performs its own C-sections; RN must be able to circulate Uses OB TraceVue for fetal strip charting and Meditech as the EHR Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Works every other weekend on a rotating or as-needed basis Call requirement of 2 shifts within a 6-week period Floating required on an as-needed basis 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (TN or compact) required Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required Fetal monitoring experience required PALS, Centricity, and couplet care experience preferred Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients and newborns Positive attitude, cooperative demeanor, and initiative are valued traits Any scrub color is acceptable Weekly orientation held on Mondays Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible Candidates must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis American Traveler Job ID P-766854.
