DENTIST

Licensed healthcare providers may earn up to $50,000 toward student loans in exchange for a two-year commitment at Hamilton Community Health Network. Accepted participants may serve as dental clinicians and can choose to serve longer for additional loan repayment support. For more information, go to a member of the Dental team, this position is responsible for providing dental care to the patients of HCHN. This position will provide dental care for 95% of the time, and administrative responsibilities 5% of the time.General responsibilitiesPerforms dental examinations, procedures, and prescribes medications to patients as assigned or as needed.Advises patient on dental care education issues when needed.Protects patients' oral health by diagnosing and treating disease, injuries, abnormalities of teeth and gums, and undertaking preventive procedures.Advise patients on good health practices.Ensures patients receive educational materials that pertain to their patient's dental health needs.Refers patients to specialists when required and in accordance with their insurance restrictions.Performs procedures on patients in need. Develops and implements goals and objectives to ensure high quality, cost-effective clinical care.Education and/or ExperienceLicensed to practice in Michigan preferably with dental family practice experience. Must have DEA registration. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible management experience in dental care related organization.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
