Business Analyst

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid) 3 days remote, 2 days onsite Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Facilitation & Migration Readiness:
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
  • Lead meetings, collect configuration artifacts, and prepare migration roadmaps.
  • Document current and target state processes for system modifications and migration.
• Testing, Training & User Readiness:
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Support end-user training pre- and post-migration.
  • Evaluate user feedback and suggest usability improvements.
• Process Analysis & Migration Support:
  • Analyze and streamline business processes for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Validate technical accuracy of migration-related tickets and system enhancements.
  • Assist in developing and categorizing configurations based on migration needs.
• Cross-Functional Support:
  • Support smaller agency application projects as needed.
  • Participate in strategic agency meetings to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on government IT projects.
• Proven ability to elicit, document, and analyze business processes and requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with the full SDLC and test scenario development.
• Proficiency in business modeling and graphical process flows.
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL database frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IIBA certifications such as CBAP or CCBA.
• PMI-PBA certification.
• Experience using JIRA and Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with feasibility studies, legacy systems, and mainframe concepts.
• Ability to estimate efforts and manage system modifications.
• Leadership experience in technical teams and managing outcomes.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Equivalent work experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
