Position Details

• Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)
• Location: Salina, Kansas
• Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
• Salary: Starting at $28.00+ per hour, based on education and experience
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000, discussed during the interview
• Experience: 1 year preferred; new graduates welcome
• Certification: National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential required
• State License: Kansas respiratory care license required or eligibility to obtain one
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory conditions and determine appropriate care needs based on physician orders.
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and evaluate patient responses to therapy.
• Perform respiratory care procedures independently in accordance with established clinical protocols.
• Provide respiratory support to patients in general hospital units and critical care settings.
• Perform invasive respiratory procedures within the scope of practice and applicable clinical guidelines.
• Monitor patients for changes in respiratory status and respond promptly to emergencies or changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective patient care.
• Recommend adjustments to respiratory treatment plans when appropriate and communicate findings to the clinical team.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments, equipment, and care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow infection control, safety, and quality standards.
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program — required .
• Current Kansas respiratory care license or eligibility to obtain a Kansas license — required .
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) — required .
• One year of respiratory care experience preferred.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply!
• Knowledge of respiratory assessment, treatment delivery, and patient monitoring.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing patient conditions and clinical priorities.
