EHS Specialist Apply now » Date: Jul 3, 2026 Location: Mason, MI, US Company: Dart Container Make an Impact on Safety, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement We're seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and strengthen our safety culture in a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll collaborate with operations, leadership, and HR to ensure compliance, drive safety initiatives, and help create a workplace where employees can perform at their best every day. What You'll Do Support the implementation and administration of site EHS programs and initiatives Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Deliver safety orientation and training programs for new and existing employees Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements Assist with EHS documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping Monitor safety metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste management activities Partner with HR on workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs Proactively identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions Help foster a culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience supporting EHS programs in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulatory standards Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting and wearing required PPE Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or high-volume production environments Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or CHMM Experience developing and delivering employee safety training Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles Why Join Us?
