Product Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities Lead product design, development, and testing of new ramp and accessibility solutions. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales to bring products from concept to production. Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing processes. Perform analyses to ensure products meet safety, durability, and usability standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product performance and cost‑efficiency. Research and apply new materials and technologies to enhance product innovation. Manage prototyping and testing phases to validate design concepts. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering field. 3+ years of product development experience, preferably in manufacturing or accessibility products. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for product design and drafting. Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product testing standards. Experience with prototyping and conducting product testing. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements is a plus. Location Valley Cottage, NY (On‑Site) Salary The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $125,000 $150,000 per year, plus incentives.
