About The Role

Location: University of Kansas Health System | 4000 Cambridge Ave Kansas City, KS 66160 Bill Rate: $88.50 before administrative fees Class/Area: BH 46 Tele RN Start Date: 9/28 or 10/12 Scheduled details: 12-hr Nights; 1900-0730 Experience Requirements: Associate's degree in nursing, 1 or more years' experience as a Telemetry RN in a hospital setting Experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing License/Certification Requirements: KS RN & BLS Floating Requirements: Will likely occasionally float outside of their hired unit based on divisional needs. Units they might float to would be an acute care unit or overflow/surge (which houses med/surg pts) Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend required On-Call Requirements: None Holiday requirements: Required based on unit needs; Travelers must work two major holidays, choosing from the following groups: Thanksgiving Eve or Day | Christmas Eve or Day | New Year's Eve or Day. Unit Notes: 36 beds - 29 rooms & 7 semi private spaces; Ratio is 1:3 or 1:4; It's a general med-surg/tele unit, so kind of a catch all. Client Specific Notes: TUKHS is a nicotine free facility; bi-weekly pay | 8hr non billable ori | Client is allowed the cancelation of two shifts per month at no cost to the client and no pay to the employee. Will provide a minimum 2 hours' notice. Orientation: Will attend KU NEO the Monday and Tuesday of the starting week, will also be required to attend KU DON training Wednesday and Thursday, Friday will be required to attend virtual EPIC training Creds Due: Monday one week prior to Monday start | Credentialing Expectations: CBC, DS, and lab work must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
