Locum Tenens Hospital Medicine APP Nocturnist

Facility: North Florida - Gainesville - Hosp Med, Gainesville, Florida

Position: HBS - Locums: Hospital Medicine APP - Nocturnist - Gainesville

Must have a FL license, FL DEA and clean file. Providers must be matched to North Florida - HM APP position as well.

Position specific questions:

• What's the schedule? On-site, call coverage, weekends, nights
• Are there specific dates needed? If call is involved, what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site
• Call/Rotation schedule? Will they take an APP (or SFA when applicable)? Who should be the timesheet approver each week?
• What are expectations for orientation? (ie, shadow day? EMR training?)

Candidate parameters:

• Any specific fellowships/certifications/procedures/competencies we are looking for?
• Hospitalist experience Experience level? Year or more

Credentialing questions:

• Will emergency privileges be an option? Yes
• Are case logs needed? If so, what are the requirements?

Hospital/unit questions:

• Number of beds? See next page
• Are there any consults and if so, how many per day?
• What's the patient population? Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity?
• What does the support staff look like? How will follow up cases be handled? (when applicable- inpatient or outpatient)

At Gainesville hospital they would work 7pm to 7 am and cross cover the hospital and do admissions (average of 1 to 2 a night). This hospital is a new hospital with a rehab unit and 30 inpatients. There is a physician on back up call for concerns.
