JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities: Safely operate a 26’ straight box truck. Compliance with all DOT driving regulations. Physical loading of product into designed delivery box truck. Ensure all material is properly secured at the beginning of the shift and continuously monitor after each delivery. Ensure that all customer supporting paperwork is completed and returned at the end of each shift. Report any issues or incidents related to material damage or customer matters to the Logistics Manager. Perform the daily truck inspection, pre- and post-trip (DVIR). Seeking advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Perform and document inspections to ensure the truck and equipment are kept in good condition. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving. Possession of a Driver License (type C) – CDL license is not required. Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks. Capability to operate a lift gate. Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries. Ability to service all region’s distribution centers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 20% Travel for this position. Successful completion of a mandatory background check. 3 points or less as shown on your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving. Salary: Entry level pay rate starting at $21.00 hourly.
