Short Description

• Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has non patient care responsibilities to include but not limited to turning over rooms, pharmacy/specimen pickup or delivery, setting up equipment for cases and patient transporting.
• Contributes to quality patient care by serving as a significant member of the health care team.

Overview

The Cooper Voorhees Surgery Center (VSC) is a hospital-run outpatient surgical center that follows the same clinical standards as Cooper's main surgical facilities in Camden. As a non-24/7 center, all patients return home after their procedures, with any complications routed to Cooper in Camden or the nearest appropriate facility. VSC manages its own pre-admission screening and guides patients through registration, pre-op preparation, anesthesia and surgical care, and recovery in PACU before discharge. This streamlined, patient-focused environment supports high-quality same-day surgical care.

Experience Required

• Acute Care Hospital experience preferred (i.e.: Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, PCS, etc.)
• Visual and auditory acuity for information retrieval and computer monitor use.

Education Requirements

• HS Diploma OR GED preferred

License/Certification Requirements

• American Heart Association BLS

Special Requirements

• This position will work in the PACU at VSC
• 8A-4:30P

Hourly Rate Min $16.5 Hourly Rate Max $25

The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position.

A salary offer will vary based on the job role, candidate experience, qualifications, internal pay equity and market data.
