Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Nights

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to a diverse service population, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, and aligned with the organization's mission and values. This role is essential in an Emergency Department staffed 24/7, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and immediate care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients presenting for emergency care based on their history, physical assessment, and chief complaints.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and/or critically ill patients.
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by physicians, including medication administration, intravenous fluids, and blood transfusions.
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care services.
• Initiate and implement patient education plans as prescribed by a physician.
• Properly clean and bandage wounds.
• Record all care information accurately and efficiently in the appropriate format.
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.
• Respect and adhere to tribal and cultural traditions and practices.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• An Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a professional nurse.
• At least two years of professional nursing experience, preferably with one year in an Emergency Room setting.
• Current certification or willingness to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, and CPR.

Schedule

This position requires working nights, ensuring critical care is provided during all hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
