Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, working with elementary-aged students in a classroom focused on supporting mild to moderate needs. This position offers a set schedule and the chance to make a lasting impact in an inclusive, collaborative school environment.
You’ll partner with a caseload of approximately 20 students, providing differentiated instruction, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and working closely with general education teachers and support staff. The district is excited to welcome someone experienced, compassionate, and adaptable—ideally able to start before early November.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Recent experience with elementary-aged children in a special education capacity
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Dedication to fostering inclusivity and growth in each student
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction to support students with mild to moderate needs
- Maintain all required documentation for IEPs and student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure student success
- Foster an encouraging, positive classroom community
- Adhere to school and district policies and schedules
Highlights of This Position:
- Full-time hours (40/week) with a Monday, Thursday, Friday schedule from 7:40am to 2:50pm, and Wednesday from 8:40am to 2:50pm
