Industrial Machine Mechanic

Location: Columbus, MS Shift: 2nd & 3rd Shift (Includes rotating weekends)

Are you a skilled mechanic who takes pride in keeping production lines running at peak performance? We are looking for an experienced Industrial Machine Mechanic to join our team at a metallurgical plant in Columbus, MS. This is a vital role where your technical expertise and troubleshooting skills will directly impact our production output and operational success.

What You’ll Do

• Proactive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance requirements on production equipment by following technical diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer guidelines.

• Expert Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical malfunctions by observing equipment in operation, listening for issues, and utilizing precision testing instruments.

• Component Repair: Dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and an array of hand and power tools.

• Precision Adjustments: Ensure optimal machine function by measuring components with calipers, micrometers, and rules, making necessary adjustments to meet dimensional requirements.

• Minimize Downtime: Implement effective maintenance strategies to keep our facility running efficiently and safely.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven professional experience troubleshooting and repairing various production machinery.

• Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and mechanical repair equipment.

• Safety & Quality: A commitment to following engineering specifications and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

• Qualifications: A valid driver’s license and a High School Diploma (or G.E.D.).
