Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU

Travel RN – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Night shift: 4 x 12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30). Every other weekend required.

Patient population: Adult/geriatric critically ill patients. Unit census is 16.

Active NY RN license required at time of submission.

Minimum of 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred in specific areas.

EPIC charting experience is required.

Must be able to float as needed.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS preferred).

Key clinical competencies: ventilator management, vasoactive/vasopressor titration, dysrhythmia recognition/management, arterial/central line management, CRRT management, sedation/paralytics, ABG interpretation, blood product administration, post-cardiac arrest care, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Provide high-quality care for critically ill patients.

Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Manage complex medical equipment and perform procedures as needed.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.

24 hours of orientation required, along with completion of modules pre-start (up to 10 hours may be billable, with 5 hours guaranteed). Background checks reviewed case-by-case. Candidates within a specified distance from the facility are not accepted. RTO rule: cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO.
